                      My favourite story

   I have read many books. But my favourite story is The Three Little Pigs.

   Three little pigs built their own houses. The first pig built a straw (草) house. The second pig built a wood house. The third pig built a house with bricks(砖). One day a wolf ate the first and the second pigs. But he couldn’t eat the third one because its house was very strong. Finally the third pig killed the wolf.

   This is my favourite story because it is very interesting and it teaches us to be hard-working.

Module 8  Accidents

   My Unforgettable Experience

 I still remember the story as if it happened yesterday.

 There was a time when I did badly in my maths. Although I tried my best and studied hard until late night, I still failed in maths exams. Then I was ill and had to stay in hospital for several days. You can imagine how sad I was! Luckily, my friend Lily came to help me with my study. She was always ready to help others. Thanks to her, I got better soon and I made great progress in maths. What she had done reminds me of the old saying: A friend in need is a friend indeed. I felt really moved.

 From my unforgettable experience above, I’ve learnt that it’s really important to help others. People who help others make the world full of love.

 China has the largest population in the world. Because of the large population, there is less living space for each family. And it’s difficult for lots of people to find jobs. The large population also cause many other difficulties for the whole nation. For example, we are short of energy and water. Most cities are more crowded than before, and the traffic is much heavier. The large population has become a serious problem.

 In order to solve population problem, we must go on with the one-child policy. I believe we can make it.

It often rains. And winter is the coldest. Sometimes it snows, especially in the north of China. If you like snow, you can come at this time of year. But I think the best time to visit China is in spring or autumn because the weather is not cold or hot. It’s very pleasant to visit many places of interest in China, such as the Great Wall, the West Lake and Mount Tai. I hope you can come soon.

   春节是中国的传统节日。过去人们用贴春联(Spring Festival couplets)、挂红灯笼、包饺子、走亲访友等方式来庆祝春节。如今人们不仅保留了这些传统习俗，而且还用新的方式来庆祝，如发电子贺卡、送鲜花、外出旅游等。请你写一篇关于春节习俗变化的英语短文。词数：70词左右。

    The Spring Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China.

   To keep safe, we should follow these steps. First, only school personnel can enter the school. Second, our school must punish the students who fight badly.

   Actually, I don’t think these steps are enough to keep safe. We’d better always be careful in our daily life.
